I was lucky to find JEDS Mobility solutions for installing stairlift for my mum Dr Jamila Iqbal who lives in Nagpur. My mum needed it because of frailty related to old age and knee problems because of osteo arthritis. I was visiting India and had contacted a few suppliers but was not convinced as they were asking for minimum 3 to 4 weeks to deliver their products.
I found JEDS through India mart and spoke to the owner Mr Jamshed who agreed to send Mr Sarosh, his partner to visit us to discuss our needs. When I spoke to Mr Sarosh, he flew to Nagpur the same evening as I was flying back to UK the next day. I was reassured by all the information he gave and we decided to go with JEDS . I also found out about the DeVi stairlift online and found their modular system had good feedback in Europe and UK.
The team headed by Mr Jamshed came to Nagpur on the day we agreed on and worked from 0800 to 2000 for 2 days and finished the installation in time. The team did an excellent job and removed all waste when they left. They also spent time training my mum how to use the stairlift and sent me videos to reassure me as I was in UK.. My parents found the attitude of the entire team very helpful and considerate.
Installing the stairlift has meant that my mother can continue living in her bedroom that she has been living in for last 20 years , which is on first floor and travel to the terrace on second floor. This has also been useful as her friends who have similar health issues as her, can also use the stairlift and visit her. It has had a positive impact on her life.
I had compared quotes and found JEDS stairlift cost the most reasonable of the 5 quotes that I had taken.
I have no hesitation in recommending JEDS mobility solutions as I honestly feel the team do a prompt, trustworthy and good job. And I say this as a daughter of elderly parents and as a practising doctor.

My wife who was teaching Biology in college, had to leave her job after an accident. A dumper carrying cement mix rammed her car and created a pile up of many vehicles. She had irreparable damages and couldn’t continue the job.
Then in 2018, she was detected with malignancy and was treated with surgery and Chemotherapy. She recovered completely.After the COVID pandemic, where everyone was taking vaccines she took was administered 2 doses.
With her history of other ailments and recovery from cancer, perhaps the vaccination was too much and she got a heart attack.
This left her too weak to even get up from bed and do her regular work.
Being a botanist and a avid plant lover, she had collected, developed and grown a garden on the terrace. It has about 500 exotic and rare plants. This garden is attended by her alone and no gardener is employed. The garden can not be entrusted to an employed gardener.
This garden is on the terrace of our penthouse apartment. That means she has to climb 18 steps to go there.
She was not able to go to her garden. Could not climb even one step.
Then the search started for a chair lift for private use. Contactedany supplier’s. Many came and took measurements. They had unique solutions also.
Out need was immediate installation and robust maintenance free chair lift.
When JED explained their design capabilities, material being used and exceptionally short delivery time, I was convinced about their capabilities and strategy to deliver in short time.
The order was placed and in 10 days, they handed over the project to us.
It is more than a year since we are using it. Flawless and noise less performance. Her life has become joyful again since she was able to talk to her plants. The garden re bounced to life. So did she. We are very happy about this decision to install this device from JED.
Wife has now sufficiently recovered and is able to climb stairs now. But sometimes she needs to use the chair lift. With proper care to the upholstery of chair, we sometimes use it to transport material up and down our terrace. The remote control is another great feature.
The WiFi enabled chair can be attended by JED from their office effectively.
The team is professional. Clean and systematic. They came with all items necessary and did not ask even for a cloth to clean up the site. They brought everything with them. Finished the job in one day and left.
I must recommend them for installation of chair lift due to their honest work practices, professional attitude and timely completion of projects.

I am Narayanan, 76 yrs old, residing on the 1st floor of my house at Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu, with my wife 73 yrs old and Mother, 94 yrs old.
In our building our 1st floor is 15 metre high from the Ground level with 28 steps staircase. We used to climb up and down daily with much difficulty. So I tried the option of installing conventional lift, which was not possible with space constraints. So I searched for alternative ways on the Internet and found that Stairlift is the right option for our house.
I found out among many companies, The JEDS Mobility Solutions, Mumbai is offering a suitable Stairlift solution.
Even then I wanted to check it personally and hence went to Mumbai. Their reception was good and put me in decent accommodation in Dadar. They took me to their workshop. There I could see a good stock of the imported stairlifts and its parts (Netherland). They also have a good number of workers, well trained and ready to execute the orders received.. They have a demo arrangement of this stairlift in their office.
After satisfying myself of their ability to carry out the work as promised in their quotation, I gave an advance of 50% and returned home.
As promised they came within 15-20 days with their men and materials and started installing the stair car within two days. One day was allotted exclusively to train us in the usage of the stairlift.
The stairlift runs for a length of 15 and half feet with three 180°turns and one 90° turn and four inclines. At one point it is 60° incline.
We are using the stairlift for the last 4 months daily for going up and down. The surprise is that my mother could use it easily daily once ( Up and down) while on her routine to the temple. My wife is using it twice and I am making use of that for 4 or 5 trips. We are very much relieved of our Knee problem and going up and down is not a problem at all anymore.
Though my maid cleans it daily, I personally inspect it to clear it of dust and debris. They have taught us the maintenance of the system which is very simple.The old staircase is also there intact.
We are highly satisfied with the overall performance of the system. People around us were really amazed to see this unique system to climb up and
down with ease and appreciated us for selecting the system and the company.
